Screenplay Competition

The Oklahoma Film Institute at Oklahoma City Community College announces the Call for Entries for its annual screenplay competition. The deadline is March 30, 2005. The winning author receives a $250 prize.

The purpose of the competition is to find a script to use during the 3-week summer filmmaking workshop. Scenes from the winning screenplay will be selected to form the shooting script for the Institute participants.

“We’re looking for original, feature-length, contemporary, character-driven scripts. Basically, we’re looking for something we can produce during the three weeks next summer,” said Rick Allen Lippert, OFI Director.

Entries need to be written in accepted screenplay format. Other requirements for submission include a completed entry form, a $20 fee, a one-page synopsis of the story, and a one-page description of characters
